Transferring Pre-arrangements

Evan J. Strong Funeral Services began serving families in 2002, initially operating as Commemorative Services. Since that time, our philosophy has remained the same…to offer you and your family the best value while providing personalized, professional, dignified and compassionate service.

We believe very strongly in the value of planning ahead or “funeral prearranging”. Often times we are contacted by people who have had the foresight to make their funeral arrangements in advance, and who did so either before our company was formed, or without knowing Evan J. Strong Funeral Services was a viable option.

If you have made your plans at another funeral home, and are interested in transferring your prearrangement to Evan J. Strong Funeral Services, we would be happy to analyze your plan to see if transferring is a feasible option for you. If no funds have been paid to another funeral home, the pertinent funeral information can be easily re-recorded with us. If the arrangements were prepaid using an insurance company, many times we are able to simply send a letter to advise the insurance company that the arrangements have been transferred to our care. Funds would be disbursed to our funeral home at the time of need. There are cases where it may not be in the best interest to transfer the prearrangement because of financial penalties that may arise if funds were prepaid and placed in trust, or in an insurance policy that did not have a growth factor. Our directors are very knowledgeable in the transferring of prearrangements, and would be happy to discuss whether a transfer to our company would be in your best interest.
