Newspapers

When a loved one dies, a newspaper notice, or obituary is necessary to advise people that the death has occurred, and to provide details regarding a service, donations, etc. At Evan J. Strong Funeral Services, we will assist the family with compiling the notice, and place it in the requested newspapers. In Calgary, the two main newspapers are The Calgary Herald and The Calgary Sun. Both are listed below with approximate costs and contact information. Please note that many families may choose to expand on the newspaper notice and have the longer, more complete version available on our website through the Book of Memories, where friends and family members have the opportunity to share photos, memories and condolences with the family.
